Thinking is something that works well when you’re cleaning your room. I had just drilled a few holes in a few of the walls so I needed to vacuum clean.
A few of the new posters now hanging above my bed^^
While doing so I started thinking about EvE and the people I meet in there. And whether or not they could be called friends or just acquaintances.
In the end of my inner monologue I came to the conclusion that I actually do look at some of the as “friends”. I don’t know their real names (or if I do I already forgot) but some of the people I talk with on a regular basis know more about me than some of the people I do know IRL. I even talk with the people in game more than I do with my closest friends. That’s mostly because of our work and other IRL things that make us very busy.
There are a few people in the game that I trust, partly because we’ve been playing and talking together in EvE for over a year and also because those people share their grievances and joyful occasions with the rest of us.
All of this makes me wonder about the rest of you. Do you look at those you play with on a regular basis as friends, or are you waiting for them to stab your back?
Because apparently, if you have to believe everyone else, that’s something that is bound to happen sooner or later.
On another note: it’s a shame that the black Friday EVE game time for .99 cents was only for new accounts, I’d have liked something like that as a so called vet. But I’m sure there will be other deals. CCP is still a company, and they need to attract new customers.
Stay tuned o7
