A Wormhole Tale with a blueish hue – Home Defense

A couple of days ago I noticed a few messages in discord, we were being invaded by multiboxers.

A bunch of (I think Russian) multiboxers had set up a POS in one of the places I call home and bringing ships in. Over the next 24 hours or so the corp tried to wrestle hole control and eventually there were supposedly about 100 characters in the hole.

A few citadels got reinforced and while all this was happening people were messaging friends and allies for a little call to arms.

There were also questions being asked, what made this person angry with us, who touched him in his no no square?

Over the next couple of days it would turn out that nobody really knows. I was told by someone I’m acquainted with that was helping the invader, that supposedly the corp I’m in tried to evict a Russian noob corp. And that one of our dudes kept scanning them whenever they undocked for PvE. Someone else was told that it was because of one of the guys killing a mobile tractor unit that belonged to them in Null.

Both explanations basically a bunch of bull, the Russians were bored and wanted to invade. So be it.

One of the nice things about being in a wormhole with a highsec static is that it’s really easy to bring friends in, although on the other side of that coin it’s also really easy for the attacker to bring friends in.

But once we were ready to defend one of the timers we had a fleet of about 150 people read, 100 Scorpion Navy Issues warping towards the grid, in the back logi pilots ready to come support us. It would be a glorious fight.

If only someone showed up for it.

But that’s fine! In the background, a bunch of diplomatic missions were happening and the aggressor agreed to a fight. He would bring everything he got and we could bring everything we got.

So… We did, in a way they didn’t expect. 180 characters, ready for a massive brawl, one that low-class space like this had not seen in a while.

Unfortunately, my balls had never been bluer than two days ago. The dude ran with his tail between his legs. We all know why, he did not expect so many people to show up. He did not expect the hand that was shown.

No brawl, no kills, just blue balls.

In the end it was nice to see the amount of frenemies we had, people that would gladly shoot us and we them, but not when it comes to our home being on the line.

Over the next few weeks I’m sure that we’ll see this guy again. If he is as butt hurt as he was made out to be he will try this exact same thing again. With a high chance of this exact same outcome happening again. Although this time, blue balls will have to be remedied some other way.

We’ll see.
